screen, dump
Dec. 23rd, 2004 05:11 pmI am sick to death of sifting. I've been doing far too much of it at work lately. We only have a little raw material. We don't know what particle size we need. We have to save all the bits. Shaking it through the screens breaks up the lumps and makes it mix better. I am too much a coward to say, "yes, this is what needs to be done, and I can't do it." Or even, "I've been doing it for a week, and I can't do any more of it."
I'm going to have a long weekend away from work. There's going to be a gaming party Saturday, but other than that, I'm not planning to do anything very much of anything. Reading and re-reading Renault. (And maybe more of the R-shelf. I should put things back on shelves, and get organized, now that I have some time free. Er, the first step in getting organized would be realizing the shelves should be in my apartment before I put the books on them.) I was thinking of making a cake, but I looked at the recipe, and the "sift flour with baking powder and spices" just about reduced me to tears. Sifting powder in the lab comes from a different place than sifting flour at home, and I just can't handle the strainer.
